Coyotes Support Black-owned Restaurants as Part of Black History Month

Supporting black-owned restaurants is at the heart of the Coyotes' initiatives to celebrate Black History Month.

And for President and CEO Xavier Gutierrez, that meant a visit to JJ's Louisiana BBQ, a black-owned business nestled in the Coyotes' backyard, near downtown Glendale.

JJ's Louisiana BBQ owner James Johnson was "blown away" by the visit.

"That meant the world to me," Johnson said. "That meant to me, that my God is still watching me and taking care of me. That's what that meant to me, because he's the one sending people here to me. That just blew me away."
