CFB Week 6 Picks

The last few weeks have been profitable to those that have followed my picks on this blog. How about we keep it rolling?

Sports betting is a lot like the MLB Postseason. You want to be peaking at the right time. Your best hitters are swinging the hottest bat. Your rotation and bullpen are on point. I love playoff baseball.

But I love these Week 6 picks even more.

Last week (3-1) → Record to date: (10-1-6).

Odds are courteous of DraftKings Sportsbook.

TCU (-7) vs Kansas

Some would argue that Kansas has been the only redeeming quality of the Big 12 this season. Others would counter that thought with TCU.

The same Horned Frogs who punched Oklahoma in the face harder than Draymond Green did to Jordan Poole, last Saturday in Fort Worth.

I expect TCU to win this game but it won’t be easy. The Jayhawks eeked out a win over a pathetic Iowa State team last week. TCU poses the biggest threat to Kansas this season and we saw Heisman hopeful, Jalon Daniels, take a step back against the Cyclones.

Anticipate a decent amount of scoring and TCU (-7).

Purdue vs Maryland (-3)

Imagine being the younger brother of the NFL’s biggest talking point - Tua Tagovailoa - who is suffering from a concussion that could potentially end his season and is keeping NFL Personal Relations Managers up at night.

Well, meet Taulia Tagovailoa, Tua’s younger brother.

The starting QB for Maryland has to have an emotional urge to go and ball out. He also has NFL-caliber wide receivers at his disposal. Maryland has the 28th-best offensive success rate in the country.

Aidan O'Connell led the Boilermakers to a (monetary) upset over Minnesota last week but the Gophers were missing their top RB.

Terps (-3).

Utah (-3.5) vs UCLA

UCLA is doing their best impression of the guy at every pregame (to a social event) who masters making rounds to every friend group at the party, making sure he posts on his Instagram story for people to see, and successfully shepherds everyone to order Uber’s to the bar.

Similar to how they have everyone’s attention in the Pac-12 but are bolting to the Big Ten in two seasons. Nice try, Bruins.

The Utes rank eighth nationally in pressure rate against opposing quarterbacks. Ninth-year senior QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson had a spectacular TD against Washington last week. DTR's never fared well against the rush. Utah (-3.5).

Army (+17) vs Wake Forest

350 days ago Army West Point played Wake Forest. Final score - Wake Forest 70 | Army 56.

LAUGH. OUT. LOUD.

Public money is pouring into Wake Forest.

Film was watched this week and defense was the focal point at practice.

I’ll be more shocked if 126+ points are scored in this matchup again than when I found out Gisele Bündchen and Antonio Brown were having steamy, sexual intercourse while Tom Brady was out shooting Bitcoin commercials.

Well, that’s only a rumor.

I'm still not surprised TB12 and Gisele are hiring the nephews of Jeremy Gray and John Beckworth as divorce lawyers.

HOT ROUTE! ARMY (+17).

Here’s the rest of my bullpen:

Texas-Oklahoma (o65)

Pitt-Virginia Tech (u42)

Alabama (-24)

Florida State (+3.5)

Kansas State (-1)

LSU (+3)

Arizona (+13.5)
