The Arizona Cardinals announced that the team has signed linebacker JARVIS JONES to a one-year contract. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Jones (6-3, 280) spent his first four years in the league with the Pittsburgh Steelers after he was selected in the first round (17th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Georgia. He played in 50 games (35 starts) with the Steelers and totaled 125 tackles, six sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries with Pittsburgh.

Last season, Jones tied his career high with 42 tackles and had one sack and one interception in 14 games (nine starts). He has also appeared in six postseason games (two starts) and recorded 13 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

The Steelers have declined to pick up the fifth-year option on OLB Jarvis Jones, option would have paid Jones $8.4 million in 2017, so the Steelers decision it makes financial moves.
