The Arizona Cardinals announced that the team has agreed to terms with linebacker CHANDLER JONES on a five-year contract. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

In his first season with the Cardinals in 2016, the 27-year old Jones (6-5, 265) started all 16 games at linebacker and had 11 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 15 tackles for loss and was a Pro Bowl alternate. Over the past two seasons, Jones has 23.5 sacks, the third most in the NFL in that span. He is one of only three players in the NFL to have double digit sacks the past two seasons (Von Miller, Khalil Mack).

He entered the league with New England as a first round selection (21st overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Syracuse. He was selected to the Pro Bowl with New England in 2015 after posting a career-high 12.5 sacks to go along with 44 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles. Since 2012, just four NFL players have 250+ tackles, 45+ sacks and 10+ forced fumbles: Jones, JJ Watt, Ryan Kerrigan and Von Miller.

Jones was given the Cardinals non-exclusive franchise tag on February 27.
