When the New England Patriots marched down the field in overtime and secured Super Bowl 51, all but one player on the field (Nate Solder) was either drafted in the third round or later or signed as an undrafted free agent.
So when people can't believe that Belichick would pass on a chance at the 12th overall pick in exchange for Jimmy Garoppolo, you have to realize he couldn't care less about that pick. He's done it without top picks, and he will do it again.
