Patrick Peterson joined Jody and MJ on the afternoon he officially launched The Patrick Peterson Foundation for Success and announced the inaugural Celebs and Steaks dinner on Monday June 9th at Donovan's Steak and Chop House in Phoenix.

In addition to talking about how his foundation will benefit low-income and inner city youth with opportunities and resources to reach their full potential, Patrick also told MJ and Jody about how he was feeling when he saw Richard Sherman's four-year, $57.4 million contract extension:

{RE: reaction to Sherman contract) They definitely perked up. Me and my representative we kind of knew he was going to get that deal and it was just a matter of time before he was going to sign it. I’m happy for (Richard) Sherman, he did what he needed to do to deserve that contract, he played really well over the last few years. We will have to see what the future brings, obviously I’d love to stay here in Arizona for the rest of my career but we will see where that takes us. To answer your question, yes I did perk up a little bit and we will see where the negotiations go from here.

Mike Jurecki also followed up with more about Patrick's contract status:

{RE: contract status} We are in the beginning stages and we are talking right now but when it comes down to negotiating both sides have to come to an agreement. I don’t know if a deal will get done this year but I’m confident a deal will get done but I don’t have a timetable for it. We will see what happens in the near future. Im okay if it takes time because obviously I have two years left on my current deal, one year left on my rookie deal and then they picked up the option for a fifth year and we will see where it goes
