Plummer - Devils Stepped Up In Territorial Cup

Arizona State legend Jake Plummer says the Sun Devils showed no quit in a come from behind victory over the rival Arizona Wildcats.

"Guys started stepping up.  They followed Manny Wilkins lead.  He just kept fighting, scratching and clawing, never quitting."

ASU erased a 19-point, fourth quarter deficit to defeat U-of-A, 41-40.  Plummer believes first-year head coach Herm Edwards deserves a lot of credit for the comeback.

"This team is tight, they're coached right and led by great leaders.

A great win for Herm, and for recruiting in state and out-of-state."

Jake "The Snake" tells Jody Oehler recent reports regarding Wildcats QB Khalil Tate wanting to transfer because of disagreements with offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone could hurt his ultimate goal of playing in the NFL.

"When you're NFL prospect you have to coachable."

Plummer does like the pro prospects for Devils wide receiver N'Keal Harry, who declared for the 2019 NFL Draft on Monday.

"I love his game, I love his attitude.  Any GM out there has to be salivating to get a guy like that on their squad."

The former Cardinals signal-caller isn't concerned about current Redbirds rookie quarterback Josh Rosen's current string of throwing interceptions.  Rosen has thrown 10 picks over his last five games.

"Let's look at the full picture here, he's making some high level throws."
