Suns President: Robert Sarver Is Misunderstood

Phoenix Suns president and CEO Jason Rowley tells Jody Oehler on The Drive that it would be "short sighted" to make a "long term decision" based on recent team performance.  Rowley does not believe the slumping Suns struggles for the better part of a decade should factor in the decision for taxpayers to infuse millions of dollars into Talking Stick Resort Arena.  

Rowley joined the show Friday afternoon to discuss the recent saga involving owner Robert Sarver, who in a report by the Arizona Republic, threatened to move the Suns to Las Vegas or Seattle to a city of Phoenix lawmaker.  That anonymous lawmaker has since back tracked to say Sarver did not specifically mention the two cities.  


The Suns president calls Suns owner Robert Sarver one of the misunderstood individuals he knows and wishes some of his good deeds would be promoted but often are under the radar.  Rowley encourages citizens and fans alike to make their own decisions about how to vote.
