Larry Fitzgerald Returning For 2019 Season

Larry Fitzgerald is returning to play in 2019.  The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed Fitz to a one-year deal.  Larry Legend enters his 16th season in the NFL and is the Cardinals franchise career leader in receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, total touchdowns and 100-yard games.  The 35-year-old's 1,303 career receptions are the most by any player in NFL history with a single team and rank third all-time overall behind only Jerry Rice and TE Tony Gonzalez.  Fitzgerald’s 16,279 career receiving yards rank second in NFL history.

Fitz returns following a rough 3-and-13 season, which secured the Cardinals the top pick in the NFL Draft and sent head coach Steve Wilks packing after just one season.  Fitzgerald is expected to continue to climb the record books and improve on his 69 catch, 734-yard, six touchdown season, which is a down year for the wideout.  He did toss the first touchdown pass of his career in the 2018.  New head coach Kliff Kingsbury's air raid offense should help Fitz return to form with second-year quarterback Josh Rosen.
