The deadline for NFL teams to submit their initial 53 player rosters was Saturday at 1pm Arizona time and the Cardinals obliged by cutting 23 players including some recognizable names.
Tight-end Ricky Seals Jones & Wide Receiver Chad Williams were two of the players who have played their last games as Arizona Cardinals. Williams was a third round pick by Steve Keim in 2017 who played in 16 career games and only caught one touchdown and Seals-Jones is best known for his unfortunate circumstance of of being arrested for having to go potty at a hotel in Scottsdale last summer. On the field Seals-Jones had some nice moments in his two seasons but has apparently become expendable in the Kliff Kingsbury offense.
Some other nuggets, The Cardinals are keeping seven Wide Receivers, four Running Backs & just two Quarterbacks.
ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss also noted a few things about the current roster (that may change when Steve Keim works his waiver wire magic)
The entire cut list looked like this.......
