Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka issued the following statement today regarding the NHL’s Return to Play plan.
“We are very excited about the NHL’s Return to Play plan. We are looking forward to the playoffs and competing for the Stanley Cup. We know this has been a very difficult time for our fans, but we hope the playoffs can provide them with some much-needed entertainment and escapism and bring our community together.”
Under the NHL’s plan, the Coyotes will be ranked as the 11thseed in the Western Conference and will play against the 6thseed, the Nashville Predators, in the best of five, qualifying round playoff series. Dates and sites for the games will be announced by the NHL in the future.
