The Arizona Coyotes can still win the Stanley Cup and it begins with a five game series against the Nashville Predators in the qualifying round of the new NHL postseason structure. All of the western conference games will be played in one city that will be announced at a later date. The Coyotes are the 11th seed in the Western conference based off their points percentage as of the pause on March 11.
Dates have not been set but the league has already announced that teams could possibly start skating in groups of six or less as early as the first week of June with a training camp period beginning no earlier than the first half of July and no dates set when the playoffs will actually begin.

As far as the actual matchup the Coyotes and Predators have played twice this season. The Coyotes won in Glendale 5-2 back in October and the Predators won in Nashville 3-2 in late December. All of this could be a little confusing but it definitely means that a Phoenix team is back in the playoffs for the first time since the Dbacks were swept by the Dodgers in the 2017 NLDS
