Victoria Monét gave fans an oral history of her award-winning JAGUAR album series during night two of iHeart Festival.
On Saturday night, September 21, the hitmaking singer-songwriter singer paid homage to the 'House of JAGUAR' at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival Presented By Capitol One. She filled the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with her beautiful vocals as she opened with popular singles like "Alright" and "Cadillac (A Pimp's Anthem)" off her JAGUAR II album. Monét took it back to her fifth EP with her vibrant rendition of "Ass Like That" followed by an electrifying dance break to the tune of GloRilla's "TGIF."
Victoria Monét closed out with a lively rendition of "JAGUAR" followed by her breakthrough hit "On My Mama." Her set at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival happened several weeks after she dropped her new song "SOS (Sex On Sight)" with Usher. It also comes a few months after she confirmed her plans for a deluxe version of JAGUAR II instead of completing her intended trilogy. During a conversation she had with Billboard in July, the California-based singer explained her decision to move on from her JAGUAR series.
“I just felt like after the space between the two projects — ’cause I didn’t expect them to be two years apart — I felt that the JAGUAR story had kind of subsided, especially with JAGUAR II winning Grammys, I’m like, “How do I come back with a third one?” It kind of felt like the ribbon on the present."
"There will be a JAGUAR II deluxe, so you could look at that like kind of the third little part," she confirmed. "but technically, there will be no JAGUAR III. I think it’s time to get out of the jungle and see the city, maybe."
If you missed any of the action this weekend, or just want to re-live it all, an iHeartRadio Music Festival special including highlights from the event will be available to stream on Hulu on October 7th.
