James Harden is cheating his way to the top of the NBA

I'm going to start this with one simple question: How can you be looked at as a top offensive player in NBA history if you need referees to call fouls for you to score your points? Did Jordan need help from the refs to account for 1/3 of his points? No. Did Kobe? Not so much. That's not to say that the two didn't get more calls than the normal NBA player.

James Harden is manipulating the system in an effort to get foul calls on 3 point shots by flailing his body like a kid mid-tantrum. It's not basketball. It's a receiver running into a cornerback hoping for the flag. It's sullying the position of "shooting guard" and how difficult it is to become great when you have one main job: putting the ball in the basket.

Watching the James Harden-led Houston Rockets this season isn't basketball. It's like watching a rec league 12u team with the coach's son and a bunch of other kids. The coach's son is the best player and the others just watch said kid dribble around and shoot as if nobody else is on the court. Oh Harden passes, for sure. Those passes are either with a couple seconds left in the shot clock if he can't find a shot or a lob to Clint Capella.

If the future of the NBA looks like the Houston Rockets, I'll be looking elsewhere for my sports entertainment. Nothing about what the Houston Rockets are doing doesn't make Dr. Naismith turn over in his grave.
