Does Carson Palmer deserve a spot in the Cardinals ring of honor?

The Arizona Cardinals announced that former QB Carson Palmer will be the 18th member of the team’s ring of honor. He spent five seasons and played 60 games with the Cardinals including a trip to the NFC Championship game in the 2015-16 season. Palmer had a solid career in Cardinals red making one Pro Bowl and the third most wins in franchise history for a QB.

Palmer is only one year out of the league and gets the ring of honor nod ahead of a few other popular Cardinals. Wide Receiver Anquan Boldin spent seven seasons in Arizona and was a big member of the Cardinals 2008 NFC Championship team and is NOT in the ring of honor. Defensive Tackle Darnell Dockett spent his entire career with the Arizona Cardinals from 2004-2013, making three Pro Bowl’s along the way. Dockett is NOT in the ring of honor.

Why did Michael Bidwill decide to honor CP3? Well they have a rookie coach and a rookie QB and attendance was less than stellar last season so it makes sense to try and sell tickets to this September 29th game by honoring one of the most popular Quarterback’s in franchise history.

Does Carson really deserve a spot? Or is this just the epitome of a Cardinals organization that has lost more than it’s won.
