After weeks of waiting, Michael Crabtree is signing with the Arizona Cardinals. The former 1st round pick (and Texas Tech alum) visited the Cardinals recently but was not able to come to a deal but seemingly after not getting any action from the other 31 other teams Crabtree is landing in Arizona.
The Cardinals were deeply in need of a veteran wide receiver after the injury to Hakeem Butler and the release of Kevin White. Crabtree spent 2018 in Baltimore and played in all 16 games while putting up 600 yards and 3 TD’s.
Where does he slot in? Likely a nice fit into the third option for Kyler Murray behind Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk. Details of the contract were not immediately known but if the numbers are right this a a nice low risk signing for Steve Keim and giving Kyler Murray more weapons to throw to is a good thing.
