Cleveland Browns Will Be Fine Without Deshaun Watson

The news that Deshaun Watson would undergo season ending shoulder surgery was a gut punch for the Browns, who just stole a historically rare road win over the Ravens in Baltimore to move to 6-3 and in the thick of the AFC playoff hunt. With no starting QB's or quality backups available, it's easy to see why predicting that a Cleveland 2nd 1/2 collapse is right around the corner has been a trendy media take.

On today's show, Jason explained why he's still bullish on the Browns playoff chances - even with 5th round rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson set to start Week 11 on the road against the rival Steelers. Cleveland has the NFL's best defense led by All-Pro pass rushing freak Myles Garrett and a top tier secondary that's held opposing QB's to the league's lowest completion percentage, a deep and talented overall roster, and they're well coached with HC Kevin Stefanski already showing the ability to keep the ground game humming after losing workhorse RB Nick Chubb for the year. Stefanski should be able to gameplan to DTR's strengths, and mask enough weaknesses to move the ball and stay close most weeks.

It's understandable why fans in a city nicknamed 'The Factory of Sadness' would give up all hope for the season, but these Browns aren't 'THOSE' Browns, with or without Watson. There is hope. Myles Garrett
