Cardinals Veteran Center Rodney Hudson Will Play in 2022

Aside from the waiting game for a lucrative contract extension for Kyler Murray, one of the biggest offseason questions surrounding the Arizona Cardinals involved the man whose job it is to call out protection schemes for the franchise quarterback.

That question has been answered.

Veteran center Rodney Hudson has notified the team that he will be returning to play in 2022, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

There was speculation about whether Hudson would retire or his dissatisfaction with his contract situation. After skipping out on mandatory minicamp last month, the future status for Hudson was unclear. No need to fret anymore.

The All-Pro center says he is ready to go and is expected to provide a huge boost for the offense.

Hudson, who turned 33 last week, will report to Cardinals training camp with the other veterans on Tuesday, July 26th.
