Tempe, Arizona -
Today, the Arizona Cardinals rookies officially report to training camp at the Tempe training facility.
Over the course of the next month, the Cardinals coaching staff will evaluate the first-year players and see who can contend for a spot on the 53-man roster.
General Manager Steve Keim traded away the Cardinals first-round pick this past April to the Baltimore Ravens for Marquise "Hollywood" Brown. Thus, second-round pick (55th overall) tight end, Trey McBride will headline the 2022 class.
McBride will join a tight end room of Zach Ertz and Maxx Williams who is still recovering from surgery after tearing his ACL last season. How head coach Kliff Kingsbury and the rest of the offensive staff plans to utilize the 6'4" 250 pound rookie into the offense will be something Cardinals media members and fans pay close attention to through camp.
Here are the other notable Arizona Cardinals rookies reporting today to keep an eye on:
- Cameron Thomas (OLB)
- Myjai Sanders (DE)
- Keaontay Ingram (RB)
- Christian Matthew (CB)
- Marquis Hayes (OL)
- Jesse Luketa (LB)
- Lecitus Smith (OL)
