We Know Pete Carroll Is Old

The Las Vegas Raiders introduced Pete Carroll as their new Head Coach yesterday but all anybody seems to be talking about is his age. The Super Bowl and National Championship winning coach will become the oldest head coach in NFL history this season at the age of 74, and it will likely be mentioned during every game the Raiders play this season despite his bona fides and regardless of how the team plays.

Dan Patrick: “His age is going to be mentioned just about every time they show Pete Carroll on TV. What is he, the soon to be 74-year-old; the oldest coach in NFL history? I think soon to be 74. Gotta say that, it’s a prerequisite when you tune into Raider games.”
