NFL insider Ian Rapoport tells Jody Oehler on The Drive the Arizona Cardinals received offers on Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson
I know two teams called (#AZCardinals) and said they would like to trade for Patrick Peterson and they were told "absolutely not. Not happening."
Rap Sheet spoke directly to Michael Bidwill and the Cardinals president emphatically told him a deal for Peterson is "not happening."
Rapoport mentioned a pair former Cardinals linebackers rumored to be on the trade block
They are not shopping Haason Reddick. Bucannon is somebody that can probably be had."
The NFL insider was the the first to reported the Cardinals were moving towards firing offensive coordinator Mike McCoy
Ian does not believe the Cards issues will end with McCoy's exit
There are other issues besides coaching
Head coach Steve Wilks doesn't seem to be untouchable despite it being his first season at the helm of the Cardinals
If they (Cardinals) go 1-and-15, I can't see ownership not making a significant move. If things don't improve ownership will evaluate everyone.
The seats for Wilks and general manager Steve Keim seem to be heating up.
