The Arizona Cardinals are entering a catagory most teams don't want find themselves following a 26-14 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs; The Best Loss of the Season. Former NFL offensive lineman turned analyst, Ross Tucker, tells Jody Oehler that's what happened on Sunday at Arrowhead.
Out of all the games this season, I think you could argue that the Arizona Cardinals just had one of the best losses of the year.
Ross believes the Cardinals defensive line was able to go where no opposing has gone before during the 2018 NFL season
They went toe-to-toe with them. I mean their D-line, Rodney Gunter and those guys were lighting up the Chiefs O-line. They had (Patrick) Mahomes on the run.
Tucker thinks the loss has earned Cardinals first-year head coach Steve Wilks some respect in the locker room.
I think Steve Wilks now has the guys' attention, that he knows what he's talking about. That they're doing the right things. They're (Cardinals) building, going in the right direction.
The former Redskins, Cowboys, Bills, Patriots O-lineman feels the Cardinals can parlay the loss into continued momentum, but the team needs to win big on a slumping Oakland Raiders team.
I almost think they have to win in style.
The host of the Ross Tucker Football Podcast believes the Cardinals aren't that far away from turning things around and have a couple different avenues to remedy the offensive line this upcoming offseason.
Get a couple O-linemen in the Draft, maybe one more in free agency and try to find the right combination.
