It took a few weeks but Paul Goldschmidt has finally left the yard for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Goldy connected for his first Cardinals home run in the fifth inning off of Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Zach Eflin.
Going into the contest, Goldschmidt was hitting .273 with no homer and two RBI for his new ball club. Meanwhile, catch Carson Kelly is .276 with a run batted in and five doubles for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Andy Young is batting .214 with a bomb and right-hander Luke Weaver is having a strong at 1-and-0 with a 1.59 ERA in three spring starts. All three were dealt from St. Louis to Arizona for Goldschmidt.
