Kliff Kingsbury Pranked By Sean McVay

Kliff Kingsbury is already taking L's from Sean McVay.

The Los Angeles Rams coach pranked the new Arizona Cardinals coach into believing that having dinner with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes could cost him the number-one pick in the NFL Draft for tampering.

McVay told Adam Shefter on his podcast:

"We have a mutual friend that I put his name in my phone as [NFL commissioner] Roger Goodell. I had this friend send me a text saying, 'I can't believe you're at dinner with Kingsbury and Mahomes. You know better than this. This is tampering. You're both losing picks.'
"I showed Kliff the text, and he saw a ghost. I said, 'You better call [Cardinals general manager] Steve Keim right away.' He said, 'I thought I was going to lose the No. 1 overall pick.'
"We couldn't let it go on too long, but it was pretty good. We got him good."

Kingsbury coached the NFL Offensive MVP, Mahomes in college at Texas Tech and maintains a relationship with the signal-caller.

Kingsbury says he intends to get McVay back for the prank. If Kingsbury somehow puts McVay in the loss column against the Cardinals it would be the coach's first loss to Arizona ever. The McVay coached Rams are 4-and-0 against the Cards.

The first-year head coach could be part of the biggest prank the sports world has seen by getting people to believe the Cardinals are selecting Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray first overall and trading Josh Rosen. But we may have to wait 25 days until we can say "April Fools!"
