Cam Johnson was the Suns 11th overall selection in Thursday’s NBA Draft. A somewhat surprising choice for James Jones as many mock drafts had the North Carolina three point specialist being selected outside of the lottery. Even his Tar Heel teammate and seventh overall pick Coby White seemed surprised (and really happy) that Cam was just picked.
It was a divisive choice for many Suns fans and it was a divisive choice among our show. It’s not often we hit it hard and heavy out the gate but to kickoff our Friday show we spent 17 minutes debating with passion and fire how the Suns came out of the draft and how it sets them up for free agency.
Does it mean D’Angelo Russell is an option or will Tyler Johnson be the starting point guard come October?
