On today’s edition of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon, Jason and Mike debate whether or not Cooper Flagg should be a Superstar in College Basketball or would it be better if he was a Villain?
Jason Smith: One thing that has been missing from college basketball the last few years has been the presence of a superstar or superstars, and we need that now. He is going to be unbelievable for college basketball this year. He is going to cut through the clutter with headlines and attention and we will be hating Duke at some point in March. It's just appreciating him for a little bit, but then the Duke hate will eventually be flowing through at some point.
Mike Harmon: “He’s gonna wear the Black Hat because he cost them this game, cost him that high-ranking & it's his fault, & so we need a villain, right? As much as you want a superstar, I give you the other side of the coin. We need the Joker running amok, burning that pile of money. It's not hating, I celebrate the villainy.”
